What Is Invisible Text?

Invisible text is made of Unicode characters that look empty but count as real characters. They're not regular spaces. Most apps strip normal spaces from usernames and bios, but these characters pass through because validators don't classify them as whitespace.

The ones people use most:

  • Hangul Filler (U+3164) is the safest pick. It shows up as a visible-width blank and works almost everywhere: game names, Instagram bios, WhatsApp, Discord.
  • Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800) is similar. Visible width, blank output. Also works on most platforms.
  • Zero Width Space (U+200B) takes up no width at all. Useful when you want to break text without adding a visible gap.

How to Copy Blank Text

  1. Pick a character type from the dropdown above.
  2. Set how many characters you need with the slider.
  3. Hit Copy to Clipboard.
  4. Paste anywhere with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.

Where People Use These

Social media bios and posts

Hangul Filler and Braille Blank both work in Instagram bios for clean line breaks without the "period on each line" hack.

Empty messages

Copy a Hangul Filler, paste it into WhatsApp or Discord, and send. The message goes through but shows nothing. Works on both iOS and Android.

Blank comments

Paste Hangul Filler or Braille Blank as a comment on Instagram or YouTube. TikTok may delete blank comments, so results vary there.

Why Not Just Use a Regular Space?

Characters like Em Space (U+2003) are technically whitespace in Unicode, so platforms may strip them the same way they strip regular spaces. Zero Width Space (U+200B) is a formatting character that TikTok actively filters out.

Platform Compatibility

Hangul Filler (U+3164) and Braille Blank (U+2800) are the most reliable. Zero-width characters and space variants are hit-or-miss.
